State de Reims has bolstered their defence with the signing of Romain Metanire from Belgian club KV Kortrijk.
The 26-year-old joins on an undisclosed fee on a two-year-deal with the Ligue 2 club, and has been described by officials at the club as a “powerful and very good against attackers”.
Reims manager Michel Der Zakarian spoke about Metanire, saying, “Metanire is a player who likes make runs forward, and has a large amount of pace”.
This signing fills the gap left by usual right back Hamari Traore, who is currently playing at the African Cup of Nations. Metanire will be a good cover for Traore whilst also providing stiff competition when the right back returns from international duty.
