WWE Reportedly Meets with Networks As TV Negotiation Window Nears, Revenue From NBC Revealed

Credit: WWE

As we noted earlier today, WWE has met with several top networks to begin a feel out process before the company is legally able to begin TV negotiations.

World Wrestling Entertainment’s television deal with NBCU will expire in the fall of 2019, and the negotiating window is drawing near should the company look to discuss potential deals wit other networks. As of now, NBCU has an exclusive negotiating window with WWE, which expires at the end of the spring of 2018, meaning WWE is not legally allowed to negotiate contract points or rights fees with anyone outside of NBCU.

The report furthers Execs also spoke with other networks at the time, including CBS and Disney, plus digital companies like Amazon and YouTube to show the power of its programming.

The report noted World Wrestling Entertainment will make around $180 million from its NBC deal in 2017.
