The NJPW career of Jon Moxley has thus far been book-ended by Juice Robinson.
After defeating the former NXT Superstar-turned-NJPW dojo graduate to win the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship in his debut with the promotion, the two engaged in a rematch on August 11 to close out their time in the 2019 G1 Climax tournament, with Juice picking up a hard-fought victory to even the score between them.
After the match, Mox spoke with members of the press backstage and confirmed that Robinson would be receiving his rematch for the U.S. title after scoring a clean win over the champion during the G1. However, if he wants the rematch, he will have to step into the ring against the “Lunatic Fringe” in a No Disqualification match.
Now the obvious question is – when?
The rematch won’t take place at NJPW Royal Quest in London, as it takes place the same day as he faces Kenny Omega at AEW All Out in Chicago.

The next possible dates are on the Destruction tour, with three big shows on September 15, 16 and 22. There are also three Fighting Spirit shows coming to major arenas in the U.S. on September 27-29, but reports have indicated that Moxley is not allowed to work NJPW shows in the U.S. due to his contract with AEW.
