The metro construction works in Bengaluru had its own fair share of controversies through the years, especially on the large number of trees that were to be cut to make way for the project.
Faced with protests from concerned citizens and environments who did not want to lose the Garden City’s remaining greenery, authorities had reluctantly agreed to translocate some of the trees to other locations.
