Speaking to France Football about his failed last minute summer transfer talks to join Fiorentina on deadline day, Reims attacker Rémi Oudin indicated that he felt that La Viola had shown him a lack of respect.
“It closed at 22:00 in Italy. I said to myself that if this drags on, it is because the club does not want me and they are not doing all they can to have me. Already then, in my head, I said to myself that there was no need to go to such lengths if I was not even their priority. At the end, I was annoyed about the waiting, and, we can say, the lack of respect. They told me to prepare everything, when, I was not their priority. I wanted that the club showed me their interest. That they did everything for me to come… (Fiorentina) never called me once.”
