MLW returning on September 22 with Fusion: Alpha

After a relatively quiet summer, MLW is returning with new weekly content with Fusion: Alpha, debuting on Wednesday, September 22nd

Alpha will debut weekly on YouTube Wednesdays and then on BeIn Sports the following Saturday and Monday.

The news was announced in a preview video Monday night.

In tweet replies asking what the status of MLW and Vice TV is, founder Court Bauer tweeted, “Those asking about @VICETV x @MLW… that’s coming soon too.” The two sides announced a deal in May, but only archive content has aired thus far.

We have asked for clarification on whether Fusion: Alpha is the company’s second show or if it will replace Fusion altogether.

From the press release:

“Featuring big matches, inter-promotional clashes, shocking alliances and a new matchmaker in the form of Cesar Duran, Fusion: Alpha finds Major League Wrestling in the midst of a wrestling war with raids, jumps and the fear of invasion.”

MLW held a TV taping in July, but has only aired one match thus far: Battle Riot III. National Openweight Champion Alexander Hammerstone won the 40-man match, setting up a title vs. title bout against World Champion Jacob Fatu at October 2nd’s Fightland, also in Philadelphia.

Bauer has been teasing new TV deals throughout the summer, but nothing has been announced yet. They opted out of their DAZN U.S. streaming deal in June.
