Following the news of Glenn Jacobs’ Knox County, TN Mayoral win, reporter Travis Dorman noted on Twitter that Jacobs was still wearing a walking boot as of today, due to an injury he sustained prior to WWE Extreme Rules, and Kane joked it was his first “political injury”:
Headed back to the newsroom to write another story but here’s a nugget. Jacobs had a boot on one of his feet. I asked if it was wrestling-related and he said he got tendinitis while door knocking. “That’s my first political injury.”

Former WWE head writer Brian Gewirtz Tweeted the following:
In this business EVERYONE has heat with someone… except @GlennJacobsTN. Universally known as one of the classiest, stand-up professionals of all time. Could’ve justifiably killed the writing team at least 14 times but chose not to. Thanks for that and congrats! https://t.co/lUrC6dvF8D
