On Friday night, Bad Boy Joey Janela faced WWE legend Marty Jannetty in a singles match in the opening round of the AIW JT Lightning Invitational Tournament.
Janela won the match, and noted on Twitter that Jannetty was fighting through a lot of pain during the bout as the former Rocker member is in need of surgeries due to injuries he has sustained throughout his pro wrestling career. At one point in the match, Jannetty was hit by Janela with a top rope splash onto a table, but the table did not break, and it was said to be painful looking move for Jannetty to take. You can watch a clip of it below:
Tell 10 year old me that I’d see Marty Jannetty taking table bumps in 2018 and I wouldn’t believe it.
Respect to him and @JANELABABY for putting on a banger tonight. pic.twitter.com/QBH47l1cdW

After the match, Janela took to Twitter and announced he will be setting up a GoFundMe page for Jannetty, to help raise money for the required surgeries.
I never seen a man fight through pain like I did tonight, as soon as I find out how much surgery is I will start the go fund me page to help him get the surgeries he so desperately needs! Thank you Marty! @aiwrestling pic.twitter.com/TjXlHIpk0V
