Jinder Mahal was a recent guest on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast where he discussed how he felt after losing the WWE Championship and what he told Vince McMahon years ago. Below are some highlights of the interview:
On Losing The WWE Championship
“I wasn’t worried at all, I didn’t get the push I made the push. Every WWE Superstar is in charge of their own destiny, that match I had with AJ, I had a great match, I came back to get a big hug from Vince.”
What He Told Vince McMahon
“I used to tell Vince, I am going to be your guy one day, he likes hearing stuff like that. I was wrestling Darren Young on Superstars every week when I told Vince this.”
Was He Used To Help In India?
“So, India was still there when I got released, it was there the entire time, they went to India when I was released too. I wasn’t even WWE Champion when they went to India, it doesn’t bother me. It’s a business and they do whatever makes money, they have Indian guys in independent right now, I want to see all of us rise. I can’t go anywhere there, no WWE Superstar can the fans are just so passionate. India was there when I got released, it has been number one for years, from when Khali was champion.”
