How Will the WWE Superstar Shakeup and Greatest Royal Rumble Affect WWE Backlash?, Updated PPV Card

With several big moves taking place in the WWE Superstar Shakeup on Raw this week, the card for WWE Backlash is beginning to take shape, with several matches having been confirmed.

One match, however, that remains unclear at the moment is the United States Title bout. As seen on Raw last night, Jeff Hardy defeated Jinder Mahal, who was sent to Raw in the Shakeup, to become the new United States Champion. Mahal will receive his Title rematch at the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27th, and the winner of that match will then face Randy Orton, who is still owed his U.S. Title rematch, at WWE Backlash.

Below is the confirmed WWE Backlash card, with the PPV taking place on May 6th at The Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

-Roman Reigns vs Samoa Joe

WWE Intercontinental Title Match:
-Seth Rollins vs The Miz (c)

WWE United States Title Match:
-Randy Orton vs the winner of Jeff Hardy vs Jinder Mahal at Greatest Royal Rumble
