Two terminals at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport have reopened after police closed the area due to a reported bomb threat earlier Saturday morning.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office tweeted just after 12:30 p.m. on Saturday that “deputies have given the all clear” at the airport.
“Terminals 2 and 3 have been secured and are now open. Deputies have also opened entry to the airport. The investigation continues,” police added.

The Florida airport tweeted that the upper-level and lower-level roadways had reopened and that “airport operations are gradually returning to normal after law enforcement cleared an earlier security incident at Terminals 2 & 3.”
Police had said that a bomb squad was investigating and earlier Saturday asked those heading to the airport to avoid the area.
“If you’re at #FLL or are headed here, we ask for your patience as we work to resolve the matter,” the airport tweeted on Saturday morning.
The airport’s upper-level and lower-level roadways were temporarily closed by law enforcement due to the investigation.
