Former WWE World Champion Jack Swagger Signs with Bellator MMA
During today’s edition of Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour radio show, an announcement was made that Bellator has just picked up another former WWE World Champion.
Jack Swagger, real name Jake Hager, has signed with Bellator to compete in the Heavyweight division in 2018.

Swagger had previously been with WWE from 2006 to March of this year when he asked for his release from the company, as he did not feel he was being given the opportunities he wanted. Swagger’s last pro wrestling match came this past weekend, as he faced Jeff Cobb of Lucha Underground at an independent event.
Bellator Tweeted the following after today’s announcement, although the company has yet to issue a formal press release. Swagger joins current Impact Wrestling star Bobby Lashley as the other former WWE Champion who is under contract with Bellator MMA:
