Ligue 1 side Bordeaux have entered into contact with Championship side Middlesbrough over the possible signing of Danish striker Martin Braithwaite, according to L’Équipe.
Bordeaux want a loan deal with an €8m option to buy, whereas Middlesbrough, if they are to sell, want to do so immediately.
The 26-year-old has scored 5 goals in 17 matches in the Championship.
