French international U20 winger Alexis Tibidi (19) has put pen to paper with Troyes over a four-and-a-half year deal, the club have announced. Tibidi is Troyes’ first signing of the winter transfer window. A Toulouse youth product, the Lille-born winger was snapped up by German side Stuttgart with whom he signed his first professionial contract in 2021. Tibidi played only 13 games with the senior squad, but he impressed with the reserves and won the DFB-Pokal der Junioren, the German equivalent of the FA Youth Cup.

Starved of game time with die Roten, Tibidi was loaned to Austrian side Altach for the 2022/23 season. He scored five goals and registered 1 assist in 16 games with the Miroslav Klose-led outfit. The left-sided winger played his first two games with France’s U20 squad last November and scored a goal against Indonesia’s U20s. With City Football Group-owned Troyes, the promising winger will try to gain experience and develop his skills. Troyes host Lens this Saturday during Ligue 1 gameweek 20.
