Smackdown Women’s Division Makes History Again Tonight, Daniel Bryan Expects Success Heading into WWE MITB

In the video above, a fired up Daniel Bryan talks about his history with Memphis, getting his hands on Big Cass at Money in the Bank, and his match with Shelton Benjamin on Smackdown Live.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion was actually victorious over the “Gold Standard” in a pretty good match on tonight’s show. In the video Bryan talked about how he actually respected Benjamin for working all around the world and his collection of titles, but talked about winning THE title at WrestleMania and his decades of experience, which ultimately would give him in the edge.

Smackdown Women Make History

Tonight’s episode of Smackdown Live will feature the first ever 10-woman tag team match in the blue brand’s history, according to show’s commentators. The bout was originally scheduled as an 8-woman match pitting The IIconics, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville against Naomi, Lana, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Smackdown GM Paige later added women’s champion Carmella and Asuka to either side, respectively.

We’re actually looking into fact-checking this statement, because it seems absurd to us that there’s never been either an 8-woman tag or a 10-woman tag match in all the years Smackdown has been on television.
