After winning the opening match of WWE NXT’s journey on the USA Network, Candice LeRae spoke with WWE about becoming the new #1 contender.
LeRae managed to score the victory in the opening fatal fourway match, defeating Mia Yim, Io Shirai and Bianca Belair to earn a future NXT Women’s Championship match with Shayna Baszler.
That match will take place in two weeks time when NXT goes head to head with AEW for the first time, and LeRae is certainly ready for the match, although she admitted to being shocked at the result in her post-match interview.
