WWE has officially addressed the controversy surrounding their Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania that was originally named after The Fabulous Moolah. I say originally because after Moolah’s troubled history became the hottest story of the week WWE pulled the Hall of Famer from the show’s branding (DETAILS). Sources have noted that some of the official WrestleMania sponsors were NOT happy about the backlash (DETAILS) which is a primary reason the company caved to the pressure. Stephanie McMahon laid it on thick, thanking fans on Twitter for “using their voice” and calling the battle royal a “historic match” for the women’s revolution (MORE).
Brian Christopher Lawler, former WWE Tag Team Champion and the son of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, was badly assaulted by three-time TNA Tag Team Champion Chase Stevens after the two got into a hotel room fight back in February. The former “Grand Master Sexay” was hospitalized with a broken orbital bone, broken nose, fractured skull and several missing teeth. Stevens was arrested and charged with battery resulting in serious injury. (FULL STORY)

7-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi became the first man to advance to the finals of the 2018 New Japan Cup this Friday, scoring a big victory over up-and-comer Juice Robinson. There are two options for the tournament finals on Wednesday, March 21st. Both rematches, and both against younger, up-and-coming top prospects. The first is Los Ingobernables de Japon’s Sanada in what would be a rematch from their excellent bout at Power Struggle 2016. The second is Zack Sabre Jr. in what would actually be the grudge match in a three-part series between the two that’s currently all tied up.
It was a newsworthy night on IMPACT Wrestling as Feast or Fired returned (FULL RESULTS). A classic TNA character returned to set up Monster’s Ball on next week’s show (DETAILS), four stars now hold briefcases that will be opened next week, Rosemary finally got her hands on Taya Valkyrie, and the company has now completely written off Chris Adonis.
